This feels very 90s in many ways. At times I enjoyed reliving the 90s and other times I didn't. The murder was clever and we get an idea of why he was important. I was sure of who the murderer was pretty quickly. I wasn't sure why and I think it would have been better if we had seen more of the people involved. However, Lucy wasn't really doing a lot of investigating, so I see why it happened that way. It was interesting to see where the Lucy Stone series started.
I can't remember the last time I read a cozy mystery where the MC was married with kids. What a weird thing to remark on, I know. I don't know what else to say about this. I felt like it was just setting up a story for later on. It was fine.
