"On her seventeenth birthday, Wylie and her brothers are whisked away by the enigmatic Phinn to an island where teenagers never grow up. This could be Wylie's dream come true, but mysterious disappearances make her expect that there's more to life on the island than Phinn is telling her"--

DNF. The writing in this is quite juvenile. I can only imagine that the 4 - 5 star reviewers are as well. The voice would be believable if she were the age that Wendy was written originally, but not a 17 year old.
2.5 stars? Almost 3, but not quite.
So this was a rather unique retelling of Peter Pan- which I really liked, and that's where it gets tricky!
I did really like the three Dalton siblings' bond throughout the book, and I really loved the unique idea Saedi had that made the plot and world.
There's only a few cons for this book for me (WITH SPOILERS):
Wylie and Phinn's relationship had some forcefulness to it that showed in the way they acted, thought, and talked. It was hard for me to like quite a few of the moments they were together because of that, it wasn't Instant Love at first- but once she's decided to stay on the island that's exactly what it's like.
I didn't care for Wylie much, I cared more for her brothers than her.
Once again, the cliche of Peter Pan being evil in almost every retelling of Peter Pan. Though I will admit, that doesn't bother me much when it's played out right!
Overall I did like it quite a bit and plan to read the next book, but it was not a favorite or a re-read!
