Oh I LOVED this one! It's a perfect match between writer and artist - Nubia's facial expressions are GREAT! - and an story that is both timely and timeless. I know the DC comics in this series don't tend to be ongoing but it would be awesome if this was one. I'd read more of Nubia's adventures in a heartbeat.
LOVED this! I think it's a great read even for readers who aren't really familiar with the Nubia character (I'm not especially); it's first and foremost a coming of age story for a Black girl in a world that doesn't necessarily value her, and second a superhero story. The activism subplot is super timely and I just love this character and her friends. The art is really expressive.
