Proposing Mischief

This story is just plain fun!

I enjoyed Maisie in the first book in the series, so I knew I would enjoy this book. I certainly wasn't expecting all the crazy twists and turns in it and I wasn't expecting to love Boone so much either. He isn't the sort of man I would have imagined best for her, but they are honestly perfect together—and it of course is evident to neither of them even though they enter a marriage of convenience!

There's a solid bit of suspense with the question of who is trying to get their hands on the mine, or who is trying to keep them out of it. There may be more rich crystals to be found in the played-out mine, but the flooding issue keeps it out of reach...and things keep happening to the pumps.

A great read. I can't wait to read the next in the series!
