The hilarious debut novel from Lex Croucher. A classic romcom with a Regency-era twist, for fans of Bridgerton, Mean Girls and/or Jane Austen.

Touted as Bridgerton meets Gossip Girl. It was more like Mean Girls meets Gossip Girl with some heavier topics. I was hoping for Bridgerton, but since I didn't get that it was disappointing. The plot was ok. I liked the way the relationship between Georgiana and Thomas. Frances was a well written mean girl character.
Shelving this as romance because that's what the library has it under, but I don't think it really fits there - going to come back after my thoughts have settled a bit, but I did enjoy this one.
This went places I didn't expect, but it was definitely a more hopeful end than The Great Gatsby, which I kept thinking of while reading even though it was supposed to be more Mean Girls inspired.
