The second I stepped through the doors of Gray Wolf Academy, my world disintegrated. Here, time is malleable. It can be manipulated, shifted. Changed. And for those of us who Trip—or travel through time—the possibilities are infinite and perilous. Now my life is caught in the secrets of everyone around me. Arthur, the eccentric billionaire who rules this school. Killian, who could be the only honest person here...or the biggest liar. And Braxton, magnetic, gorgeous, and unfathomable. The only thing I trust about him is our electric connection. Whether we’re Tripping through Renaissance Italy or thieving from a ball in Regency England, my life’s become a web of lies and strange truths. And beneath the surface is an elaborate puzzle, filled with cryptic symbols and priceless treasures scattered across history—all somehow connected to my strange ability to see through time. But Arthur has a dangerously ambitious agenda. And if what my dad taught me is true, I’m not just a threat to everyone at Gray Wolf. ...I’m a threat to time itself. I adore this series. As in yes i'm behind 6 books in my yearly challenge and a bit stressed over work deadlines but i'm still going to pursue this additional book and pause after chapter 3 because i can't quite remember the deets from book 1 and so i'm gona re-read bits of book 1 to get up to speed and then con't book 2 like a proper enthusiast does.
This series reminds me of Shadow of Night by D.Harkness meets Da Vinci Code by D.Brown. Dark Academic + Time Travel + Boarding Academy ... these are a few of my favorite things
Whelp I obviously read that way too fast and now I'm STUCK with that ending and twiddling my thumbs until the next book.
Ruling Destiny takes off in a great place from Book 1, and continues with a fast pace and engaging story. I absolutely love the fact that the art mentioned in the story is from history and isn't made up.
I also love the mix of numerology and tarot and reading through Tasha's thoughts as she puts the clues together. For me, it adds so much to the story.
The time traveling aspect of this series is pure enjoyment and the next book cannot come soon enough. This is another favorite for 2023 and is one I highly recommend for fans of YA Fantasy.
I sincerely appreciate Entangled Teen for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
