Scoundrel

Lovely, lovely romance. Part of the reason Bennett loves London is because of her strength and bravery - things women weren't supposed to be in that time - and part of the reason London loves Bennett is because he respects her and treats her as an equal. Would have loved to give this five stars, but it was a little too insta-lust for me (and just consumed by lust in general: through a certain point in the book, it felt like all they did was have sex) and I had to sit few a few too many scenes involving her ‘molten core.'

If you can deal with the typical romance trappings, this is a historical romance series (with magic!) I highly recommend for truly strong women and the men that love them - not in spite of it, either!
