Vale and her sister Nora stumble across the combatants of the All War frozen in ice and as life should happen accidentally unfreeze the bad guys. Showalter brings on the mayhem, the lust, comedy, and of course drama. The heroine is a strong character as is the hero and they both blend nicely. There is sex and surprisingly there is romance before the sex which is great. The story feels fresh and with plenty of places for Showalter to take it.There are a lot of characters to keep track of and lucky for us in the back of the book there is a list of characters and descriptions, but you really only need to focus on Knox and Vale. I did read the characters though to try and figure out who would die and who would make it into one of the books. I do not want to give too much away, but there are enough fighters both male and female to keep this series going for awhile and all from different realms so many different things to explore for Showalter and for us.
