Alhoewel dit boek ook wel wat van de typische YA-tropen bevat, was dit toch een verbazingwekkend originele interpretatie van de schone slaapster.
Ik hield enorm van de benamingen, het idee van de tienden en de echo van de zusterlijke banden.
Eindigt wel met een cliffhanger, dus meteen boek twee besteld.
I haven't read a Sleeping Beauty retelling yet so I had to snag this duology. It's been on my shelf for a bit and I finally grabbed it to read...and I'm glad I did.
I loved the fast-paced and rhythmic writing and especially the story of Aurora and her sister Isabelle. Their sisterly bond made me a tad jealous
