In this eagerly awaited sequel, Nathan takes us back to his charming and instantly recognizable planet colored in bright pinks, blues, greens, and purples, providing more escapades, jokes, and p h r a s e s.
Nathan mixes his most popular Instagram comics with more than thirty original works created exclusively for this second volume to explore four major topics: traditions, nature, emotions, and knowledge. He inducts new and longtime fans into a strangely familiar world and its culture, from “cohesion” (marriage) to “mild poison” (alcohol) to the full lyrics to “The Small Eight-Legged Creature” (sung to the tune of The Itsy-Bitsy Spider).
Bright, colorful, and whimsical—yet charmingly familiar—Stranger Planet is out-of-this-world fun.

The beings of Nathan W. Pyle's planet try to explain the things of Earth in their own way. Refreshing. Funny.
I initially picked up the first book in this series because of Jonny's review. It sounded like it would be a cute read and the fact that it was collection of comics just added to me wanting to read it.
I don't follow this author, so Jonny's review was the first I had heard about this but apparently, he shares his comics on Facebook and as it says in the synopsis there is an Instagram with the same name. This did end up being a cute read and a quick one. I tend to read graphic novels/comics in one sitting they're just so easy to read.
This doesn't really have a plot it just follows several aliens and the things they get up to on earth. I loved all of the different names they had for human things. For example, the tongue is a called a flavor muscle a cat is called a vibrating creature and socks are called foot fabric tubes. That is just a few examples there are so many more and I found them to be cute and funny at times. The art is very simple but bright and I loved it. Were these graphic novels mind blowing? No but I had a great time reading them.
