Taming Seraphine

I loved this to my very core. I read this as an arc (ps all thoughts are my own) and I am so fucking happy I did. Not only did I get introduced to a new favorite author but I read a book I might have not picked up on my own. I often like shorter books I mean 200-350 page mark, any longer than that I get hesitant to read. I struggle with longer, slower passed books but this book was NOT that.

Let me tell ya what was different. Each chapter left you wanting more, characters with so much depth you got pulled into their stories, the plot was constant and always making you want more, the romance THE ROMANCE was so good.

Okay the plot. Assassin meets assassin, both very deadly and very psychotic. One assassin finds the other assassin chained in a basement after being there for five years and rescues her. He doesn't know she's an assassin or a little crazy til she kills his entire friend group while he's sleeping kicks feet after this come a clusterfuck of lies and murder and revenge, trust me it's good.

The banter is so good. When I say banter I mean he is trying to heal her trauma and she keeps hiding knifes from him?? They find themselves in a BDSM relationship to help deal with her trauma with no kissing or fucking involved. It creates some beautiful tension while bringing some much needed spice to a slow burn.

I've already written too much but god listen to me and read this book. I just saw that this is debut book at least it seems??? I am shocked and ready to follow this author on her journey.
