Relishing their newfound feelings for each other, Korra and Asami leave the Spirit World . . . but find nothing in Republic City but political hijinks and human vs. spirit conflict! A pompous developer plans to turn the new spirit portal into an amusement park, potentially severing an already tumultuous connection with the spirits. What's more, the triads have realigned and are in a brutal all-out brawl at the city's borders--where hundreds of evacuees have relocated! In order to get through it all, Korra and Asami vow to look out for each other--but first, they've got to get better at being a team and a couple! Written by series co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino and drawn by Irene Koh (T.M.N.T., Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman, Secret Origins: Batgirl, Afrina and the Glass Coffin) and with consultation by Bryan Konietzko, this is the official continuation of The Legend of Korra!

This is great!! I didn't expect to get a continuation of the Korra storyline, so when I first heard that we were getting a comic I was so excited.
And it mostly doesn't disaapoint, in my opinion. The drawing style is lovely, the colours are great and all of the characters that you want to see are there. There's also the always great world of the Avatar stories and it keeps being expanded.
Also, seeing Korra and Asami getting together and being all cute and in love might be the best thing that happened to me this month.
The only small issue with it that I have is the pacing of the plot is a bit wonky and the “main” antagonist (? I'm actually not sure if he is the main antagonist or not, we will see) is not very convincing yet. It all happened way too quickly, it felt a bit rushed to me (which I can understand, because as far as I know we are not getting many volumes of that comic? Correct me if I'm wrong lmao). And the antagonist guy... well. I don't really know what to think of him yet, he certainly didn't leave a strong impression like the others did before him.
I can't wait to read volume 2.
