3.5 stars. Spoilers from previous book, some from this book.
I cant tell if I am being generous or not.
But I am happy that it is over, and that McKenzie didnt let the life-bond alter how her heart felt. Honestly, I think Kyol had no place putting it there, even if she had to want it for it to occur. It was a shady time for it to happen dude. Well, this book is centered around finding a false blood, the never ending love triangles that are in YA, and um, maybe thats it.
I felt that at the end, when McKenzie and Kyol were out for 2 weeks and things got “cleaned up” without any real story was a little cheap, but would I have really wanted to read it? I have no idea.
I also felt kind of bad for Kyol, I mean, its obvious that he does love McKenzie as much as he can, even if he thinks its a mistake, he did form the life bond. He does seem to put himself in danger for her. And, he always puts her emotional status before his, and she doesnt seem to have the same respect. Its a weird relationship they have, and I will pretend that he finds someone better for him. I go between liking and despising him, so at least the book ended it on a good note. Same with Aren, however I felt McKenzie was a little selfish this book, so maybe I liked her a little less. At least she finally learned how to use that damn sword!
