Years ago, Lindon left his home as a powerless Unsouled. Now, he goes to war with the most powerful beings in the world over the future of Cradle itself.
The Weeping Dragon has a grudge to settle, and Lindon intends to take out the Dreadgod with his friends by his side. But rival Monarchs know his plans, and they won’t let things end so easily.
If Lindon does win, he will ascend to the heavens. But he may not find a safe haven there either.
In the worlds above, Suriel and Ozriel face off against the Mad King to determine the new shape of the cosmos. The victor will decide the fate of countless universes.
Whether he wins or dies, Lindon will soon leave this life behind.
The time has come to say goodbye to Cradle.

Finished this 3 days ago, day job had a lot going on that I was forced to write a review just today.
Finally the last Monarch has ascended from Cradle....
The journey of Wei Shi Lindon Aurelius has ended, it took me awhile to even read this book, if not for Petrik's constant media bombardment, I doubt I would even have noticed or read it...
The first book was a bit of a letdown but the succeeding ones were every bit action packed, an entertaining read but for some of Lindon's meekness which book by book began to disappear until we have a true Aurelius (even if by association only).
I guess readers (I know I would) will still flock to the Wightverse even if the main character is not Lindon, Mercy, Ziel, Orthos, Blue, Yerin and of course their mentor Ozriel.
To Mr. Will Wight, Gratitude, for a tale that is well written, that captures the imagination and follows the age old saying “Follow your dreams and they will lead you to Monarchs and the Abidan above”.
This series has been my comfort read for a very long time now, Lindon and his friends being one of my favourite Found Families. Waybound is a very wholesome ending to their journey. I still want more :)
The OG progression fantasy series comes to an end :( but a great one :)

Apologies, but I'm sad this series is over, but I thought he really stuck the landing. Thankfully his new series seems promising but it's going to be hard to top Cradle.
I'm really going to miss these characters.
