This was a good installment in the series. I liked both characters and the story.

💬: "Unlike big, burly bears with their adorably soft hearts that us wild women have to be careful not to bruise, wolves have egos that are titanium over iron. It takes a great deal to insult a wolf, so if you manage it, kudos to you. He’ll probably give you ten thousand orgasms in revenge. You poor, poor thing."

Wolf Rain is the 18th book in the Psy/Changeling series and 3rd in the Psy/Changeling Trinity series both by Nalini Singh. Wolf Rain is about a Psy named Memory, who was found by a wolf changeling, Alexei. Memory was trapped in an underground bunker, confined against her will by a psychopath of a Psy. Now that she's been rescued and freed Alexei comes to find what a strong spirit she has inside of her and he becomes fond of her. Now he has to make a final decision, "risk everything or lose Memory". Will he choose to save her?
I think Memory was a compelling character and I enjoyed reading about her and seeing her grow. I think Alexei showed character growth by the end of the story, but he didn't have much of a personality within the story. If Alexei had more of a personality outside of caring about Memory, I would have given this 5 stars.
I think the spicy scenes in this book were much better than the ones in the previous book (Ocean Light.) I'm still not a fan of the "first time" scenes but the scenes afterwards were nice. I'm giving it two chilies 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of five chilies
Overall, I'd say Wolf Rain has been my favorite book from the Psy/Changeling Trinity series. I'm giving this book 4 stars out of 5.

I absolutely LOVED the plot of this one. It's been kind of routine at this point for the plot behind the romance itself to be something almost life threatening and while this one also was, it just felt so much more unique. Seeing Memory escape from years of torment and learning how to truly live was so heartwarming. I really liked her dynamic with Alexei as well; how they riled each other up to keep each other out of despair but how they never went too far and actually hurt each other.
The wider plot continues to thicken and we even got a cliffhanger this time!! I truly can't wait to see where Singh takes the story next.
The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it was for sure insta-love. They were mated and saying ‘I love you' in just over a month, which is crazy for a book that doesn't have a time limit like the last one did. I can deal with it because of the whole ‘true mates' thing, but it definitely gets some points off for that.
