Wolverton Station

i love Joe Hill he is a king (no pun intended) but this wasn't for me.
Wasn't fun to read, the horror was short lived and the story was blurry to me as it was so rushed

I did see the message and i respect it but the story just wasn't enjoyable. It felt very lacking of anything. It felt like if you gave AI the words -Wolves, train, morally debatable- and pressed enter and it gave you this 30 pages jumble.

My first book for 2016! and it was this fun and spooky kindle single by Joe Hill. I loved it! Took me by surprise with its dark humor and creepy atmosphere. I also loved the snarky voice that the author provided for its main protagonist and that brief slap on consumerism which adds to the punchy attitude of the story. I could picture this as an episode of ‘The Twilight Zone for the Twitter Generation' which from the sound of it, could be a hit TV show. This little furry piece makes me want to read more of his stuff. Great way to start the new year. Pick this up, it is short, funny and very much strange. Just the way I like my short fiction.
