Would be a good book for younger readers as it is not as dark as something like Night, but I think I would have given this 2 stars if it weren't for the subject matter.
Important
Food for thought. Very important such events are being stored and a testimony remains. I'm saddened by the way my fellow-countrymen (Poles) were portrayed in this book. Was negative attitude towards Jews something general? I heard otherwise before. Read too. Obviously, there were black sheep, toxic communities, but numbers speak for themselves - similar amounts on our side perished (https://bit.ly/2JYi7BT). But it's not my intention to compare tragedies. I wish all of this didn't happen. And I'm glad I read this book.
