This book is really not going to beat the pedophilia allegation. I think I'm done with Rice's pathetic little meow meows. As with the previous book - I think I would have enjoyed this as a teenager. Not anymore.

They said A. Rice was racist and I didn't believe them. I was wrong. Whenever an author tries to tackle world injustice and solve it through fantasy it's 99% times a wild take. Yes, I'm continuing the series because I want to know where it goes; no, I'm not particularly enjoying it.

This book single-handedly sparked my (unaddressed) lifelong passion for flying pirates, and inadvertently heavily informed the first TTRPG campaign I wrote.

It's always nice to revisit a childhood classic when opening a new chapter in life.
