A loaf of Cat's Most Popular Reviews

A book about an introverted robot who only wants to rot all day watching entertainment videos?
Filled with dry humor, sarcasm and occasional dad jokes?
Plus, it's only 150 pages long?

ABSOLUTE 5 STARS
and no, I will not hear anyone out

3.25 - The emotional roller coaster

Jack is the greenest green flag I have ever seen. He's a little too green to the point of being almost unconvincing.
Elsie, our lovely main character, on the other hand is quite relatable. I love her story, her personality, her character development.

Personally, it would be a better book if the author remove the spicy scene (it doesn't do much to the story?), and the way she described Jack appearance (please we all know he's giant, stop reminding us every two sentences)

Very Leigh Bardugo: the pace builds towards the end, and the ending aims to leave a sense of fulfillment...even though I do feel like I wanted more.

I like how everyone has their own ambitions that manifested in many different ways. Every single character feels alive to me. Every single one of them, not just the main characters.

The only flaw was the romance. It should have had a bit more buildup. It should have been marinated a bit longer.

4 for the amazing character building (Nikolai *cough The Darkling *cough), but the ending (-_-)

I know I'm supposed to be at ease with this, but...

Actually 3, but 1 extra star for Nikolai
