Alysses

This series has/had so much potential. I keep having this nagging feeling that the series could have been completed, that the story could have been told in its entirety in three books. Ok, maybe even four but I seriously think I'm pushing it. There are way too many repetitive facts being told. It's almost as if the author wanted to make sure that people could pick up book three and know everything that had happened in the first two books without having to read them... with that said, again, way too much has been repeated. It's quite ridiculous because the books would probably be cut in half had it not been for all the extra stuff that we all already know. I can't believe there are two more books after this one! It took me a while to come back to Goodreads and write this review. Not sure why... but here you have it. It's a good series but its being executed poorly.

Positives: Anyone reading this series will have a great history lesson and will want to read more about the characters outside of this portrayal.

A different a read by Alexandria House and I wasn't mad at it at all. I liked it a lot! I loved the audiobook production. There are duo voices but those voices don't just stick to their own chapters. They interact/interject in “real time”.
