damn her mom, the ‘creator' and so many people in her life sucked... yikes. the writing was well done, I made me uncomfortable multiple times, Jenette had quite some issues on her own many developed because of the abuse, but wow... the acting industry sucks, especially fo children, I hate it. it sucks more because I liked Sam and Cat as a kid and seeing how much she was going through at the time is hard.
this... i don;t even know how to explain, I just loved it, all of it. got into it just because I liked the cover, it was MG and had a Black probably autistic girl MC, that's all. and boy was I in for a surprise and a shock and tears. the probability of me thinking I'll be crying before starting this book we're like 0.2, but it still happened. i'd say give it a try, whatever you think the book will be like, I promise it's better. very important lessons and topics covered, a brilliant book, just great writing! read it now! the probability that you'll like this book is about 0.9 so goooo!
dang, this was a hard read, and so depressing, beautiful and just real. i liked the poetry and I loved the MC, I was always there for her. it felt like a very realistic display of being all alone in this place as a kid without electricity and water plumbing... God I don't know what to feel about the ending... it;s just so... deep
i loved it! pretty amazing reveals and more in depth about Amelia's emotional turmoil, loved the whole composing lessons and her found family. i love the audiobook experience the most, don't think it's as fun if I just simply read it, without all the music which made me feel like I'm there or watching a movie, gorgeous! also am just in awe from the magic system, I just love how unique it is!
as a follower of the mini adhd coach instagram account I of course wanted to read the new book too, and got the ARC and read it all in a day, pretty addicting, fun, and important lessons and tips, will be trying to do and see if it'll help. as someone who's quite knowledgeable about adhd due to the online communities, I didn't learn much new things but the tips and hacks were interesting enough, hopefully they;ll help.
I got this as an ARC from Edelweiss+.
I liked the continuation of the story, if you'd ask me if I know how the magic and world work I'd be lying if I said yes... I am pretty confused, but this was fun and intense seeing the first exam, and it ended in a pretty interesting way, I am probably gonna read the 3rd volume too. I want to know if all the students survived or not, seemed like a pretty brutal exam...
this was so cute, touching and important loved it! in the beginning, i thought the ghosts represented introverts, then autistics, but I guess it was just the peeps who need someone to talk to because of anxiety, depression or whatever. it can still be Autitiscs though, I think that's cool. although I definitely still am part of the sad ghosts club!
I loved it, it was pretty fun and interesting, learned a lot about the Lipan Apache people, and found the setting to be unique. it was a fantasy paranormal mystery, how cool is that? set in a world where the magical and paranormal are pretty normal, and it had no romance which for a YA book it's very rare, so I loved it even more! Elatsoe (Ellie) was so cool, I liked her!
just brilliant I love Elle's books so much she's incredible I never felt more proud and happy with being myself, just a neurodivergent (autistic+ADHD so I got the double rep here) gal who stands out against injustice and wrong things, I loved Adrien so much he was amazing, I wish I'll ever make a friend like him. neurodivergent friendships are top tier, need them in my life. also, the whole ai people thing was definitely an interesting topic, I definitely agreed with Cora and Adrien on it. just perfect! I also watched the tv show adaption of the A Kind of Spark book and loved it to bits, probably the best show ever, can't explain how much I just love them. dang autistic/ADHD representation really is important. oh and also I cried... thought maybe it's important to know that too, love books that make me feel so many emotions, it's beautiful!
I got this as an ARC from NetGalley and I really enjoyed it! Such a sweet story about these two Muslim American twins who always fight with each other learning to get along and set their differences aside and their passions together on a trip to Florida for their mom's award as an outstanding doctor. As a Muslim I really loved this it was a great Muslim rep and Zara was such an adorable hijabi. I love both space and animals so I enjoyed that a lot. The illustrations are mind-bogglingly pretty, I loved it! I also liked the incorporation of micro aggressions and racist and Islamophobic comments that the family unfortunately get just for being brown Muslims... America and the world have to do better... Anyways beautiful graphic novel, I definitely recommend it for all!
I finished it, I'd give it 4.5 stars! I like that it didn't have romance and that it was really fun and a good autistic rep. I'd say both Seelie and Isolde are autistic because after all didn't the author say they're both changelings? Unless both being different kinds of changelings makes them different kinds of neurodivergents, like Seelie is obviously autistic and Isolde is ADHD and part of her being fae is her physical durability! I dunno
First, read of the year! Woohoo!
This was a sweet graphic novel, I loved it! The art style the feel, were all...ah. The MC girl is in grief and is very monotonous in the beginning but meeting that ghost, kinda changed her! It was sweet that she worked (owned) a laundry shop, I don't see that often, lol. I don't know what to say without spoiling anything, but I liked the ghosts a lot! i recommend this sweet comic to all, I bet you won't be disappointed!
