An exhaustive history of the Monkees. Super detailed. Tons of pictures, many I've never seen before. I believe the author is the authority of all things Monkees and he had assistance of all Monkees while working on the book. I know there are fans that think the band should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I was one of them. After reading on how this all came together, and how it went after the TV show went off the air, I have a tendency to think they maybe shouldn't get in. Doesn't change how good the music is. Worth your time, and it will take a lot of time, if you are a moderate to hard core Monkees fan.
