This book is a wonderful and surprising read. It is well worth the hype.
A wonderful read! Until recently, I had no idea that this movie inspired the film. The novel is proof that the book is usually better than the movie...and I liked the movie!
I'm a sucker for books about baseball and the fact that it involves the Chicago Cubs makes this book especially enjoyable. I've been an avid reader of John Grisham's for a number of years, but I especially enjoy novels like this that step away from the court room. This story of forgiveness and redemption is very touching. Even the most unloveable character has the opportunity to find s place in your heart.
Well worth the read!
