This was a weird book where the description doesn’t fully capture the feel of the book. I thought this would be a straight terror filled book with lots of killing and in parts it was. What this really was, is a gore fest full of snark. If you know this going in the book is pretty good but it did take me some time to get into the story because it was a few steps sideways from what I was expecting.
I know a book that contains a werewolf means that it won’t be realistic but there are realistic fantasy books out there. For this book it goes over that into the cartoonish (literally). All this aside I had a fun time reading the book once I got into it. The gore is over the top, and the ending was imaginative.
I really like this in a way I was not expecting but I can get that this is not everyone’s cup of tea and that the description and tags for this book are misleading.
