The book started off with the death of the main characters father, and I really liked the depth of this storyline. Throughout the book her connection with her father and learning more about him after death was the best part of the book.
The rest of the book and the main mystery did not live up the farther in you got. I will say that the author does a good job at writing the online chats and at first the world of online sleuthing is interesting with the methods used and the type of people in it. On a positive note, I did like the media representation both positive and negative to the internet sleuths. Then about the halfway point of the book it is apparent who the killer could be. After that the book is a little tedious to get through with obvious red herrings and characters performing life threateningly stupid actions.
Something that was annoying in the book was the constant hints to the reader that something big is to come. It was too much when everything was revealed so close to the end. This was a hard book to rate as I really liked the father storyline and the beginning of the book but not really the rest of the story.
