The book started off great with a good mix of Sci-fi, action, and mystery. The characters were interesting while the story sparked. I thought all this would add up to being a blast to read but after the first heist the plot is everywhere while Uncle’s species ended up being a pain point in the plot. The author just kept ramping up the action in every situation even going so far as to have a large-scale battle. The mystery chase by the end had the cast running around like headless chickens. The beginning of the book proves that this author can write a good complex story, but the later parts of the story were a mess to read.
