For me this book was a pleasant surprise holding many things I often miss in the litrpg genre like Quality writing. It was a cozy, slice-of life-story, containing humour and warmth - and it is vividly written. It kept me reading. Page after page.
If it turned out the author was a famous author under alias - I would not be surprised. Now I will move on to the authors other books in hope to see if them hold the same quality. I hope so!
I give this book 5 of 5 stars. Will be Reading it again and again, in front of the fireplace With a glass of wine.
I loved the book! So I gave this book 4 stars in the beginning. I never give a book 5 stars unless I re-read it a few times. And, tbh. at that time it also felt 4 stars was fitting. Howver, find myself having read this book for the fourth time now, and although I still think 4 stars might be fitting, I give it 5 just not to break with my own rules. There IS something about this book that I love whic made me return! Again. And again. And again. So yea. Five stars!
Light entertainment. This is a LitRPG Progression Story. The System is OK thought out, but characters are pretty one-dimensional. So what you see is what you get - and what you get is a light entertaining story, set in a world where EVERYTHING is dangerous, and where you start with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Ordinary a book of this calibre would get two stars, but I find myself enjoying the book. So if you are up for some light entertainment this one might do the trick.
A story about a world between wars, with risk of all out riot. where crime is a constant presence, and where girls are inferior in this dysfunctional and religious society. Here Ashley tries to save her mother who is at hospital after partaking in the grand war by scraping up money in a Virtual Reality World with her friends. But the VR world is also not what it seems to be and soon they are dragged into the hidden and the evergoing wars between different factions.
Its gritty. Its Raw. Its authentic. It reminds me of Ready Player One by Erest Cline. Just a bit more brutal. This is a book about strong women in a world that do not appreciate them. And in that light chapter eight made me grin vickedly. :D
WELL WORTH READING!!!!
For someone who set out to spike a revolution and change the directorate and their rules, she have pretty much adapted to their propaganda machine and now seems to pretty much in line with forced marriage. Almost no resistance at all. Honestly. I really like the books, but seriously, the story got more plotholes in it than swiss cheese.
Book Divides me, im sorry to say, as the story of the book itself becomes divided. The first part (the wedding and honeymoon) and the end part (Bella becoming a vampire and the rally-up for meeting the Voltouri) is SUPERB, but the part with/told by Jacob (mid part) is way too soapy, for me, particularily the part ending With Jacob becoming imprinted with his former Obsession Bellas daughter. And Jacob is.. how to describe it? WAY TOO BLODY ANOYING.
Still, the parts I love makes this book truly Worth Reading, particularily the becoming of a vampire i loved. For a lover of vampire books of all kinds this was a New and interesting view of the topic.
Book is well well written, story very interesting, although you should be warned its mostly written for Girls. And part two i felt like skipping. Still, its worthwhile Reading for men too, if you like interesting twists to fantasy.
RATING:
Breaking dawn 3/5 in general.
Split up:
Jacobs part: 1/5
Bellas parts (first and last): 5/5
