Fast paced and well written. Winter in the Highlands sounds magical (without all the deaths and murderous animals that is!).
What I originally thought was going to be a horror novel turned into, to me anyway, a comedy.
Elena didn't seem to take anything seriously at all and there was a rage simmering beneath the surface of Andrew (dun, dun, dun).
I did love the humour though and some of the scenes made me laugh out loud, unfortunately, some of those were supposed to be horror scenes.
The takeaway from this for me was ‘don't eat meat or you will be stalked by vicious animals who will undoubtedly murder you, be best if you became a vegetarian or, better yet, vegan lest you be ripped apart by angry badgers'.
We are, however, left with a possible sequel which I would definitely pick up if the same humour runs through it and would love much more horror in it.

Quick and quirky read sharing the weirdness of relationships.
I liked the humour and illustrations. it's a good little palette cleanser between longer and much darker reads.
I do wish it was longer though as it was a very, very quick read.

When Angie Turner moves back to her hometown to open a farm-to-table restaurant with her best friend and business partner Felicia, she hopes that she can find her place and introduce the town to all the fresh produce the local area has to offer.
Little does she know that she will be caught up in the murder of the local goat cheese producer, Old Man Moss, an old friend of her late grandmother and an incredibly grumpy man!
I really enjoyed this story, we're introduced to some interesting characters, a wonderful setting and secrets from the past. There's also a baby goat called Precious, a hen called Mabel and a gorgeous St. Bernard puppy called Dom, how could I not enjoy this?!
Will be starting the 2nd book in this series soon and see how the animals are doing.

I love all comics by Catana Chetwynd! I follow her on Instagram and show my boyfriend so many of them that remind me of us especially the beard related ones, I've convinced him to have a viking beard and am currently working on persuading him to grow his hair!
Any new release is automatically put on my list because they're funny and make me feel warm and cosy.
100% everyone should have this, and all her others, in their collection!
