Light hearted summer read with a darker political tension creeping in at the edges (though mostly kept at bay). 

Cozy fantasy at it's finest. 

Fun, interactive books that engages kids to learn elementary ideas about endangered species, conservation, and maps while teaching spatial awareness. Includes fun illustrations and map-related activities. It also includes a glossary in the back for words that might be new for young readers. 

If I could give this book 10 out of 5 stars, I would. Limón's poetry is both accessible and eloquent. Her writing resonates on a personable and human level. I'd recommend this book to readers of poetry and those who are interested in reading poetry but might be unsure about where to start.

Mixed feelings. Really thoughtful passages on Hollywood, but the way women are portrayed in this book left me feeling uncomfortable.
