This was absolutely fantastic! I never thought I'd enjoy reading the inner thoughts of a extremely unlikeable main character, but I couldn't get enough of Natalie.
This might just be my confirmation bias talking, but Natalie is exactly how I always imagined all those conservative, "Christian" Tradwife women on TikTok are truly like when their phone isn't recording and we can't hear their inner thoughts: dreadful hypocrits who don't practice what they preach.
Caleb just drove me nuts, but that made me sympathize with Natalie even when I didn't want to. He is exactly what I picture whenever I see "Manosphere" brainwashed boy's complain about Western women and feminism in general; they want a Tradwife but don't want to be the Tradhusband. That would require actually earning enough to support a wife and children on just one income. Natalie was the only one who at least tried to support their family; and Caleb taking credit for it made me want to smack him. 🤣
I can see this being made into a movie or miniseries very easily.
I think I'll listen to the audiobook in the future, I really liked this book.
