I have never read a graphic novel before and read this book for my BIPOC bookclub. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 2025 for biography/memoir. It is an amazing story and I think that just reading the words would not have been as powerful as this graphic novel... The author is amazing and has led and leads an inspiring life.
