Card can write a good book. But this sequel is rough. Someone needs to keep him away from writing teen romance. It’s just bad. The twists at the end were good, but too much of this book is thinking and mice.

When you have characters with overpowered abilities, it can be hard to keep the tension in a novel, but Card does it effortlessly. As always the characters are filled with personality. Great novel with a great resolution. It gave me so many ideas as to what what was going on so it wasn’t easy to guess.

It was a bit clunky at times and Sandyman tried too hard to maintain suspense to the point of losing the reader with plot armor and weird explanations. First impression of Brandy and it wasn’t that bad.

Good book for an overview of the NT. Definitely staying on my shelf.
