Despite having being an honest and frank telling of an eating disorder, I can't help but feel like this story is an exercise in deep deep denial. It's a story that is about rejecting stopping self harm, and instead living with it, making it part of yourself and incorporating it into yourself. It feels less comforting than it is scary, and I left this story feeling like there was little hope for me in getting over my eating disorder.
