Chrispian Burks

Absolutely loved this book. It captures a certain vibe that I can't quite describe... but it feels like the first time I logged on to a BBS back in the 90s or the first time I went to the local comic shop. It just brings all that back in such a great way. Fun story, especially for those of us obsessed with pop culture from the late 70's and 80s. Highly recommended.

Didn't really connect with any of the characters but the story was fun enough and Scalzi's books are tight and well written. I just didn't love this one.

I've liked everything I've ready by Haldeman so far. While Buying Time is not my favorite I still enjoyed the characters and the world he built in this story. The pacing was a little uneven in spots but otherwise great fun and quick read.

Good story. Didn't really feel much for any of the characters, they felt almost put there just to show off the science and the science was really the star here. Overall really enjoyed it and the ideas are definitely fun to think about. Similar themes / concepts at play in this book at the Three Body Problem series (maybe he read this book?). Definitely check it out if you like that kinda story.
