I enjoyed the world building and use of portals in this novel. The characters were interesting initially but I struggled with the relationships as the novel progressed. Friendships that it seemed were meant to feel strong did not and many of the characters seemed a bit one note to me. An enjoyable story but not one I will likely return too.

Excellent third book in this series. I was happy to be back on Wistful. I also enjoyed the main conflict more in this one than in book 2. I enjoy the humor in this series and the author’s willingness to slow down the action and allow the characters to have some wonderful conversations.
