Rush in the middle of the night in your cousin's home and then disappear for two years? I can see the reasons but it still seems illogical to me.

I liked the book. A lot. Maybe more than Thief, but I'm not sure. What I know is, I love Oscar.

He should have come back sooner. He should have never left.

It didn't really have me until the first plot twist. It was a nice romance, with some spite thrown in, but after the plot slapped me in the face with oh, you thought you knew where this was going, you poor thing, I couldn't stop reading. That's rare with me and published books these days, so it should be acknowledged.

The second plot twist I expected and was happy to see realized exactly so, that was VERY satisfying. I suppose that was rather the point.

Well, who can ever tell what Cui Buqu is thinking, but I think Feng Xiao is falling first. Does that mean Cui Buqu will fall harder??? What would that even look like 🤔


I'm looking forward to finding out.
