What an incredible look into the development of one of my favorite gaming franchises!

Elijah Beahm did an amazing job at compiling interviews, video essays, books, emails, etc, to express the chaotic highs and lows of the development journey. Elijah's passion for games and this franchise shine through with how he goes into detail at almost every phase and how he explored every avenue possible to fully understand why Dead Space went in the direction it did.

I found this book extremely insightful into the world of the games industry, as well as the immense task it takes to start a franchise and capitalize on it's success. This gave me an even deeper appreciation for the games and the teams that worked on it. There's still so much of this world that I haven't explored, with the graphic novels and tie-in novels giving further insight into the universe of Dead Space. I'm excited to see if Dead Space returns in the future, and I'm looking forward to what Elijah covers next!
