This was my first read of one of Simenon’s works. It was a great quick read that helped me see a new way writing can be done. This was very well written (and translated). Hard to tell if Tony did it and was disassociated or was innocent. Your words and lack of words can both be your prison or your escape.

I took longer than I’d like to read this one. But once I got re-engaged I was all in! Now to The Eye of the Bedlam Bride!

Steal like an artist, not by fully stealing art. Steal parts that create your voice and refine and create your own art.

This book was fantastic and right what I needed, right when I needed it creatively.

Everything about this books themes makes you think and I frickin loved every second of it! Read this book series you won't regret it.

I picked this book up in a whim. I didn't realize I was going to absolutely fall in love with this book! I haven't been addicted to a book on my first attempt in a long long while! I finished it and ran to the bookstore to pick up Carls Doomsday Scenario. The covers of the hardback editions are also so aesthetically pleasing and the glossy and textured difference on the cover. It tickles my brain and I want to praise whoever created the idea, the person who put their hard hours of labor to physically create it after the amazing person who did the art absolutely killed it!

Just remember You Will Not Break Me.

The first chapter or two I struggled to get into the book, but as I got further I got sucked in. By the time I finished part 1 I couldn't get enough and took my kindle with me everywhere. Go to a movie early? Read several chapters. Go to a show early? I can read some chapters before I have to go in. I haven't got sucked into a book like this since I was a teen and read more.

My very first Chuck Tingle book, this was an absolutely fantastic novella! My gaming group admires Chuck and now that I've read this, I'm on to Camp Damascus!
