The Ember in the Ashes Quartet has quickly become my favourite book series of all time and Sabaa Tahir has become one of my favourite author of all time. These books are the perfect combination of romance and violence, atmospheric and a touch of magic. But no words can express how much I love this book series.
PS
Please ignore the bad grammar and writing.
When I first read this book, I liked Scythe more than Thunderhead but I might just have to change that opinion. Shusterman pulls out all stops and leaves his readers floored (unless you are really good plot guesser but still...).
Something that was off putting was some of the romances. I love the characters separately but Neal Shusterman tries to put some of them together and they just don't go together. He also throws them together at the most weirdest times and they have no chemistry whatsoever. He should have just stuck with the main ship of Rowan and Citra.
The PLOTTTTTTT POPPPPPPPPPPEDDD OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. That's all I have to say on that front.
I highly recommend this series to you dystopian readers who have yet to read it!
4.5
Even though I understand why Fitz was mad, I don't like how he treated Sophie at THAT moment in the book. Dex and Keefe are definitely my favourite characters although it is annoying how Dex gets annoyed every time that Sophie hung out with Keefe and he wasn't there.
Overall I LOVED this book and this series despite the fact that I am only just finished the 2nd book.
Starting to become one of my favourite middle grade series.
I wanted to love this book. I really did but I found that I was forcing myself to continue reading. I didn't care about any of the characters apart from Angie. The MC was annoying. One minute she'd ask for help or advice and the next she'd snap at that person for giving said advice. Trevor was meh. He was suppose to be this bad grumpy playboy but really never got that vibe too much. The chemistry between the two characters was non existent. And I found I stopped caring about the ex's list.
The first third of the book was promising but as I continued on I realised I didn't care for the characters or what happened. Plus Marcus waited until more than half the book to tell April that he was BAWN which irritated me.
DNF
I COULDN'T
I would have loved this had I read this a few years ago but now it just feels too cliche. That I couldn't connect to most of the characters. I will most likely try this book again to continue on in the series but for now I'm ok with just the first book.
I love her other series way more than this one and I'm glad I can still hold on to my love for that one.
I'm SUPER EXCITED FOR LEGACY'S RELEASE DAY. I HAVE IT ON PREORDER.

This is a book that it really pains me to DNF since I really enjoyed Francesca Zappia's other two books.
I just couldn't care about the plot or the characters. The premise was interesting but I'm not sure if I can carry on.
DNF at page 50. I couldn't push myself to get through this. I don't care for the MC, therefore I don't care about the plot. The only people I even remotely liked was the trivia team called Your a Quizzard Harry and evening then I still didn't care. I tried but I just couldn't get through this which is a shame because of how relatable the synopsis sounded. I might pick this up on a later date but for now this is a DNF.
I liked this book more than when I read it the first time so I am changing my rating to a 4.5 stars. Closer to a 5 than a 4 though.
I didn't even get 50 percent through this book before I DnF'ed this book.

Can't wait for the next one, especially with that cliff hanger!
Glad to see my ship has sailed also though it came about quick. Makes me wonder how Sophie quickly became not so oblivious to what was so painfully obvious but it's nice to see her realise that a certain character was not right for her and another one was.
The beginning was a bit slow for my taste but once it picked up and more information was being revealed, I was gliding through it.
I will say though that this book felt like it was filler book. Cause not a lot happened that warranted 700+pages. It could have been condensed. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.
I do hope that the next book will be the last book though. I love this series and it's characters but I think it's time to wrap up their story. It will be sad to see them go but it will be bittersweet.
Those are just my quick thoughts. Stellarlune is not my favourite in the series but I still enjoyed it!
