I am a sucker for flawed characters with toxic traits (when written well), and seeing Ian and Alek work their way through the mess that was their relationship was cathartic. Their love for one another was evident throughout, without being overly sappy. I really enjoyed this debut, and look forward to reading more by this author!
Got off to a really strong start, but lost its way near the end. I feel like the last 20ish percent of the book should've been much longer. It felt rushed, with several (sometimes nonsensical) events happening in quick succession without much flow between. Still good overall, but it had the potential to be so much better.
