I never read nor watched the movie before. This was fresh eyes into this book, this was the first time in awhile I truly rage cried while reading.

When the jury said guilty I was truly shocked. That broke my heart for that poor man. I know he’s a fictional character but I know someone from the not so far past has been in his shoes.

I already have the sequel on my TBR list.

I loved grandma and Ben’s friendship. I just loved grandma in general.

I enjoyed it, I think in going to be a fan of Kristin Hannah.

would do a 4.5, I overall enjoyed it. I really liked at the end the author added on about the differences between the facts and fictions of the book.

I had a feeling I knew how it would end. And I’m still saddened that’s how it went. But honestly I didn’t see how he could have been able to assimilate to their lifestyle.

He truly had no safe space for himself and that’s so sad.
