The author reflects on his journey with his wife through her dementia. The book is honest and respectful. I connected with some of his experiences. My husband has dementia and some of his early symptoms included issues involving language. The author's reflections are respectful of his wife as a person and involve his faith in God.

I felt the “echoes” were overdone in many ways, which detracted from the overall purpose of the book.

An excellent book telling the story of Alexander Mackenzie and his trip up the Mackenzie River. The story is interspersed with the author's own trip in 2016. The story is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed it very much.

An excellent book which gives a clear picture of Lincoln's character and demonstrates that he was the right man for the time.

Gives a Biblical basis for how Israel and the Jews are seen by God in the past, now, and in the future. The book is easy to read and understand. The author devotes a chapter to theological objections which clarified some issues.

An interesting read about life on one of the Hebrides islands.

A useful guide to prayer. Keller explores how earlier Christian leaders have approached prayer. The final chapter provides practical ways to develop a prayer life. He also provides a list of additional resources.

An easy to read mystery

An enjoyable pair of stories that formed the background to The Waltons TV show.

The story was interesting but at times it seemed to drag somewhat. I enjoyed the story but I agree with the mixed reactions of some of the other reviewers.

While I appreciated the messages in this book the part I found the most helpful is the author's explanation of how he prepared for each of the messages and how he laid out the sermons.

A very good basic introduction to the major disciplines plus a good refresher for the mature believer with a few quick pointers to assist the reader in developing/improving/tweaking the discipline.

A very enjoyable and interesting story of the experiences of one young Dutch man told through his diaries of the period. Gives insight into what the Dutch experienced during World War 2.

An excellent set of messages by the author about John 17. There is some excellent teaching about sanctification.

The book draws you in with excellent writing and characterization. It gave a genuine picture of what it was like to serve in a British estate. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it.
