What a book. I loved reading about George's journey until it caught up with modern day. I feel the narrative switches from his story to a story about being gay and politics. As someone who is gay and political, it was a deja vue I wasn't keen to relive. Overall I loved this book and would recommend. If you don't know a lot about the gay movement, this'll knock your socks off

This review is for books 1-13. Wow, what a story. This starts off fun, then an incident happens which spins us off on a tale of what is good and what is bad. The world is more grey than people like to believe. The consequences ramp up through the series and I can't wait to read more!

Wow. So this is not MY type of book, but I was curious. At one third through I was wondering if I would regret my choice to read this novel. Two thirds through I figured I had come this far, might as well finish it. The end? I was in tears crying in my S.O.'s arms. I knew the ending, it wasn't a surprise, but dang did it hit. This novel is worth all the hype behind it. Give it a read, you won't regret it.

Wow. A great short read. I read it in under 24hrs (audiobook). I look forward to reading the prequel. This follows a trans teenager who finds that the world is not as good as it looks. The book is magical, highly suggest.

I had been so looking forward to this... LGBTQ+ characters? Check. Autistic Characters? Check. Fantasy Horror? Check Check Check! So why did it not work for me? The book just felt like reliving religious trauma the book. I couldn't do it. I tried so hard but I just got anxiety everytime I attempted to listen. Perhaps I'll try another from this author.

The plot, location, characters were all good. What the author wanted you to think about was clear. However, this is a slow book. It took .25 of the book for one of the protagonists to get to the correct country. I wanted to love it. I love all of the ingredients used, but just struggled to get through this book.
