I liked the storyline and characters in this book, but felt at times that I got lost in who, what or when something was happening as it flits between various perspectives. Once I got the hang of the style it became easier, but it wasn’t the smooth, easy read I was expecting.

Slightly less confusing than the first with regards to the narration switch. I’m not certain if that is a style change or just me getting used to the style of this author, though.

The overall story is quite interesting though, I was impressed with the level of intrigue created by the goings-on in this one (this statement probably makes no sense if you haven’t read the book, but I can’t say more without giving anything away).

Love this series and the characters, although in this book it feels like things are reaching rather far “out there” at times to keep the feeling of suspense going. That’s not to say I won’t continue to read the series, but I am hopeful that it feels less forced in the next book.
