See allI really enjoyed the overall concept and plot. Some of the writing is frustrating just because of sentence structure since there were a lot of short, interrupted sentences so it feels like reading in staccato. I felt like the motivations and emotional aspects of the characters felt a little flat and not fully realized sometimes. There's also not as big of an emotional closure/payoff at the end as I would've liked (Phosyne *my manic baby girl* deserves to be kissed and held IM NOT SORRY) I did also enjoy the rotating POVs with every chapter so there's that. I saw someone somewhere say this wasn't gay enough and I agree!
Fun, new twist on romantic ghosts of the past. I thought the premise and characters were unique while the overall theming/topic was mundane. That being said, the author did a great job on taking that topic and spinning it in a way that kept me intrigued. I was similar to the mc in a lot of way and dissimilar in a lot as well which, per the human experience is how it goes. The end struck a chord with me on a personal level and made me reflect on myself so I enjoyed that a lot. I found the dialogue fun and relatable while the writing was humorous and sarcastic.
I enjoyed this book as it focused not only on the main romance but on the supporting characters as well and their friendship. I thought the dialogue was fun, realistic and it made me laugh out loud more than once! The characters are well developed, each with their own distinct personalities. The story was well paced and it touched on topics of love/self-worth, mortality/immortality (obviously) and friendship (of course)
