An Alaskan woman's mother and brother are schizophrenic. This is her journey of how she copes.

It was kind of hard to read because it is written in fragments. It really is “sketches of schizophrenia”. Because of the fragments, I found it easy to put down. But also easy to pick back up again.

Schizophrenia is sad. Her metaphors are helpful in explaining how it feels to love someone with schizophrenia. If you'd like to know what it's like to have a loved one with schizophrenia, read this.

I gave this 5 stars because I did gain some helpful quotes and ideas. That being said, Glennon can come off as a bit whiny and self-absorbed, but I try to put that feeling aside since I don't actually know her. Her words can be helpful and her vulnerability is commendable. I find comfort and validity in her books even if I don't agree with every single thing that is said.

I liked this book and learned a lot about jellyfish. My kids wanted to learn more about jellyfish after we read this. After seeing the other reviews, I reread this book because I was confused as to why others didn't like it. I honestly have no idea where this strip club is in this book. Now I'm disappointed lol

Cute way to demonstrate the symbiotic relationship between the clownfish and anemone

I wish I had an aunt as cool as Jilly
