Ok Nina! I did not guess the ending of this book which puts it more at a 3.25 ⭐️ but I did think that the overall book was mediocre, I didn't feel a connection with Millie so I wasn't rooting for her or praying on her downfall. I did however feel for Nina, and the writing made the book speed by. This book was a good palette cleanser and a quick read but that was about it for me nothing more than a quick read.
I am completely out of words for this book. As soon as I started this book I knew it would be five stars for me. She somehow wrote every feeling I've ever had as a gay woman, her written just came off of the pages per usual. I only dream of Matteo's book knowing we'll never get it, dreaming of seeing their love.
I only hope that Alice blooms into a beautiful magnificent flower.
This was more of a 2 1/2 stars for me. I liked Emmy and Luke as a couple but him commanding her was a big ick to me. I wish we also got more of her riding, and an actual epilogue it feels unfinished. It probably would've been better with an extra 50 pages but this book was barely 300 pages, I don't think that's enough to actually write a good romance.
This book being so faced pace, and well written made it very easy and enjoyable to read. I think that because the story was going so fast the ending just didn't fit. I felt that it was just added on and didn't really fit with the pace, and while it did make sense for the book to end that way I just didn't enjoy it. Natasha being the “villain” made me not want her to win in the end but also to at the same time. As the book went on I grew to like Natasha and while I knew she shouldn't have gotten the happy ending, how does Clara fit back into that life that Natasha built? That's the only reason why I wish Natasha got to keep that life, but she didn't deserve it. So again what does this mean for Conrad, I'm sure he will notice the very sudden shift between the woman that he's loved for the past 8 years, or maybe he never even realizes it.
I can't wait to read the rest of this series just because how cute they are and I need to see them have a happy ending. For it being a fantasy I wish they gave us more of the cultivators and what they do and maybe have them do more cases, I'm sure the rest of the series will do that it's just the first half of this book was so slow and was boring to me the second half was much more fast paced and was more interesting. Also do not watch untamed before this cause it just made me confused
Oh my gosh!!! I was not expecting a lot from this book I heard it was good but nothing else. This book was addicting! It was so fast paced and I was constantly trying to figure out who the ripper was and the romance wasn't overwhelming for the book and also made me want to read the rest of the series cause I want to know what happens between Audrey Rose and Thomas. The plot twists in this book were gagging meeeeee. One after another after another and once I finally realized who it was and why they did it just shocked me beyond repair.
I knew from the first line that this was going to be an amazing book. I was not expecting it to be so amazing where I just wanted to flip back to the first page after I finished it. This is now easily one of my favorite books, the characters the plot the twists and the ending were all perfect. The writing was beautiful and I loved the ending, sure it wasn't good for our main character but I think that it was perfect for everyone else and our mc got the ending and deserved. When I tell you my mouth was wide open in shock for the last 60 pages, just one after another. The lines given too were just the cherry on top, I won't put them here but if you read the book I'm sure you saw the amazing lines provided not just in the last chapter but throughout the whole book. I need more give it to me now.
After over a year I finally finished this book. This has to be the worst book she wrote for this series. It was very cringey and carried out too many scenes that shouldn't have even existed it was unnecessarily long and the only reason I finished it is because the movies are my guilty pleasure and I felt the need to read the series purely for vibes but this book was just too much.
I wish we got more. I wish she gave us just an extra hundred pages so we could get me world building or lore or of Lexi and Cole. I loved Cole I stand that he is too good for this world and I'm happy it worked out for him but honestly the first 100 pages of this book was a bore and I didn't think it would be given the plot and that V.E. Schwab is an amazing author and my favorite but this book just wasn't doing it for me.
⭐️ 4.25
I loved the writing she did an amazing job with this book. I loved the characters the betrayals the plot it all and now I want to rewatch Mulan. I only wish that there was slightly more magic to it or that she used the Jade more. With that I know I'm going to love the sequel and I have a feeling she'll go into her power more therefore we'll get more magic.
