This is basically the same plot as Just a bit Bossy by Alexandra Hazard, except Nate was likeable and didn't act like a 12-year-old all the time.

Also, proposing during Shilo's graduation is a red flag. Why would Ryann take away from his spotlight? Nah.

The Gnostic Gospels

Found Gnosticism fascinating, especially relatable the notions of humanity being the creator of God (instead of the other way around) and that God (and knowledge) is within us.

Other than that, this book just reinforced the notion that religion is political and nonsensical.

I also cannot understand how women would want to be a part of a religion that deems the inferior and useless.
