After devouring the Dungeon Crawler Carl series in a matter of weeks, I was very keen to see what Dinniman's other works had to offer. Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon was a bit of a surprise for me, I wasn't expecting the increased level of gore and difficult themes from DCC (yes it's possible), but to his testament, Dinniman crafted another interesting and engaging world that shows he has a range even inside the relatively niche litRPG genre. If you aren't in the market for a book that deals with themes of sexual violence, self harm, or Hannibal Lector-esque baddies - maybe give this one a miss.

Amazing - within 10 minutes I was utterly hooked.
