Fascinating (crime) story. Well written. Great characterisation. Great plot. A pretty serious book, no humor, but mesmerizing. I don’t think I have ever read anything like it.

I listened to an audiobook. It’s a little hard to get who’s who at first, because of multiple POV’s, but hang in there, after a while it gets better.

A new favorite writer.

DNF. Book is like a parody of Jack Reacher. Weird story. 1950s sexism I can tolerate, if it has a function. Don’t see that here.

I really wonder if B. wrote this book himself, as it is so lightweight and schematic.

Lovely book, almost as good as the first one, with a nice surprise in the middle concerning a French police officer. Interesting multi layered storyline.

I am growing very fond of this series. Ryan and his little son are charming and completely unconventional characters. His collegue Ray, who will probably turn into a nicer person soon, is an interesting sidekick. Even though I still lived the first book in this series most, I can’t wait to read more.
